Wordblurg is the portfolio site of Michael Palumbo and a product of Phoenix Vision. Phoenix Vision started as a small video production company and expanded into a variety of media and marketing services as technology began to facilitate the integration of media through the Internet. The company provides web design/development, video production, photography, graphic arts, IT consulting and maintenance, end-user training, and writing for documentation and marketing. F4 Film Festival—Annual two day film festival
Year one we succeeded in bringing Hollywood Director John Landis (The Blues Brothers, Animal House) to New England as a keynote speaker, as well as securing permission from the studio to screen his film The Three Amigos and have him take questions on it afterwards.

Produced foli art delivered as live and prerecorded effects for live theatrical productions. Also produced video elements for live theatrical productions, as well as recorded and edited theatrical productions for archive. Filmed and edited 3 camera sitcom stlye productions in support of the Acting for Media class, as well as compiling the results for students’ demo reels.
Eastern Connecticut State University
Instructional Technology Consultant
Participated in the development of the Center for Instruction Technology (CIT) as a one-stop consulting service for the academic community. Served as a technology consultant to entire faculty and staff community within the CIT team. Specialized in web platform applications, instructional design, and graphic/media/print fields.
Product Evaluation/Testing/Purchasing
Developed procedure for researching and testing new technologies for use in an academic environment. Verified purchase orders generated by faculty and negotiated with vendors. Researched and implemented enterprise level systems for use in an academic environment. Evaluated hardware for use by faculty and students in offices and labs. Negotiated licensing agreements with various vendors.
