I’ve always appreciated you greatly,
But we’ve been very busy lately,
And there hasn’t been much time
to buy you a professional rhyme
on a card made by shoebox or hallmark.

So this homemade one will have to do,
Attempting to convey my love for you.
It’s doesn’t do justice (barely a start),
to the feelings I have for you in my heart.
But at least this card needs no postmark.
