I don’t know if I ever posted this before, but I’ve been saying it since the WY quarter came out. The design is sad, it lacks any effort whatsoever, and I didn’t understand why that was until I thought about the process they must have gone through to find the artist who did it. I imagine it went something like this:
After getting together all thirteen people who live in the state, the governor said, “so who can draw?” When no one answered he said, “OK who can trace?” The lone volunteer got the job.
Now I come to find out that the Houston Chronicle thinks the same. They rated all 50 states with WY coming in last. Oh and oddly enough, CT came in first. Frankly I think they are wrong about that, it’s nice but I think it might have benefited from some leaves on the tree.
